Mark your calendars for April 4th and 5th 2014. The Okanagan Fest-of-Ale will be back for the 19th year running. Further details will be available in January 2014.

2013 Award Winners


A new format was used to determine the Judges Choice awards for 2013. Each participating brewery and cidery had the opportunity to submit one beverage for judging by a panel of 6. This panel included 5 industry experts and one public judge, winner of the “Ultimate Fest-of-Ale Experience”. Awards were distributed as follows:

“Best of Show” Overall: Stag Apple Scotch Ale from The Tin Whistle Brewing Company, Penticton BC

“Best in Class” in 8 categories:

Belgian: Gulden Draak 9000 – Bravo Beer Corp, Belgian Imports
Lager/Pilsner: Traditional Pilsner, Creemore Springs, Creemore, ON
IPA: Fat Tug IPA, Driftwood Brewery, Victoria, BC
Stout: Holy Smoke Stout, Firehall Brewery, Oliver BC
Hefeweizen: Robson St. Hefeweizen, Granville Island Brewery, Vancouver BC
Fruit Beer: Fruil Strawberry Beer, McClelland Imports
